Vision Statement

The Laurelcrest Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will support the ongoing mission of Laurelcrest School for Girls in providing an exceptional academic program in a nurturing community of actively participating families, teachers and students in a non-profit, non-sectarian, multi-ethnic environment.

Mission Statement

The Laurelcrest Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will exist under the umbrella of the corporate board of Laurelcrest School for Girls. The PTO will be responsible for conducting board-approved fund-raisers, assisting in classroom activities, and promoting school functions, in order to enhance the socialization and academic achievement of students at all grade levels. The parents, teachers, and students will work together implementing activities that result in increased financial support for the school and community interaction. Their efforts will create an environment where children can achieve established goals and grow to their optimum potential.

2006-2007 Meeting Schedule

Meetings are held monthly. Refreshments and socializing begin at 6:00 p.m.; the meeting begins at 6:30. See the calendar for meeting dates.

Room parents assist classroom teachers to enhance activities for students. They tally volunteers' hours monthly and call parents to ask for help at school. They make sure that holidays and celebrations are well-planned, and may supply food or treats on special occasions.
