Laurelcrest provides its community several opportunities to help the school increase its revenue to meet the demands of the budget. These fundraising venues, like our Silent Auction Dinner, are intended to bring enjoyment to our community, as well as funds, while allowing for tax deductible opportunities. Silent Auction is also a great way to acquire some of those tangible wish list items, like a vacation or other big ticket items, while getting a tax deduction. Go out and get the items you want to buy donated to Laurelcrest's Silent Auction, bid on them, take them home, and consult your tax preparer about your tax deductions! It's a win-win situation.
The Annual Fund is another important way to give to the school. It is a direct contribution, also with tax benefits. Our goal is 100% participation and $50,000. We already have a leadership level donation from Laurelcrest's board president, Joe Herron. The rest of the board, school faculty and staff are making their pledges as well. There are many levels of giving because all donations, both small and large, are important as the emphasis is on our goal of 100% participation. Some of you may have employers who will match your charitable donations. We will have a chart of our progress toward reaching our goal. Donors will be recognized on a donor plaque and published in our newsletter and annual report. Please contact Rebecca Ortiz-Johnson, (rortizjohnson@laurelcrest.org), if you have any questions, requests, or ideas about raising funds for Laurelcrest School for Girls' Annual Fund!
